A "meSSy" semester...

This is my third semester of taking my degree in Biz Admin, which mean im stepping in my second year, and it is not a Good news though. This brand new semester is a total mess for me. 7 subjects and 7 tutorials to attend, 7 papers to take during examination, soon, there will be also bunch of assignment coming up....gosh...could you imagine that. I hope I wont get fainted till the end of this semester.

There was also even bad news for me, now UM is taking part in what so-called Environment Friendly programme. All of the UM students are prohibited to drive into UM campus except the lecturers, officers and final year students. While the campus provided insufficient and limited of hostel for all the students, how are students staying outside going to attend all the classes and activities ?? The university only will create more and more obstacles and suffer for the students. I found out actions of UM taking in this environment programme is really ridiculous, not becauce it cause inconvenience for us but in UM, they're using loads and loads of politerene and plastic bags in all the canteens, cafeterias and bookstores while they are promoting the environment friendly programme proudly to the whole world...I hope they will do something that are really bring welfare to all of us... And may god bless me especially in this semester.

Life is Short...

It was a really touching moment when i watch Michael Jackson memorial in LA through the net. It was such a sudden death of the king of pop that we don't even have enough time to digest and accept this truely shocking news. Maybe it is best for him God took him away from this 'mean' world after he received so much of ridiculed and judged, that was really enough for him. As i know, obstacles appeared so much in his life since he was just a kid. I believe he is a great father and a kind-hearted man after done tonnes of charities during his precious life time. He create magic to us with his Unique Moonwalk and his dancing moves. He coloured our world with his voice and his moves. Life is SHORT & UNEXPECTED, we never know when we will reach an end and lost our soul. That's why we should learn to appreciate everything that happen to us, no matter good or bad, nobody can create our own world and our own stories but ourselves.

May Michael Jackson rest in peace...

Female Genital Mutilation

Last month, i purposely bought a non-fiction book from MPH at mahkota parade so that i can read it during my 2 months semester break. That was second time i went there to find a good book to read. I went with my boyfriend that day, and the title of the book really catch my sight :

- 'Do They Hear You When You Cry' - This is a harrowing true story of one woman who defied tribal custom and fought for her freedom.

Through this book, i found out that there is a ritual of female circumcision, which is also name as Female Genital Mutilation FGM that've been practising in certain countries especially Islamic countries like Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Togo, Sudan.... This kind of ritual and belief really freaks me out!! This is a procedure that involves partial or total removal of the female genitalia for cultural reasons.

The curiosity flooded my whole brain. I searched through internet to find some informations about this ritual. There are 3 types of circumcision, the worst type is the 3rd type which involves cutting the clitoris, labia minora and labia majora which are the whole external genitalia, then the wound will be sew leaving a small hole which only enough for peeing and menstruating. Oh my god...this is really a female's right violation. I cant imagine that this ritual practice on girls around 8 to 15 years old. They believe that woman's with clitoris will kill their child and the whole family, and they also want to ensure their virginality before or after marriage to increase male sexual pleasure. They only cut open their virgina only for sexual intercourse whenever their husband want it or giving birth then sew back again. They are treating female like some kind of slave instead of woman. I was wondering who create this unacceptable ritual to them...Why they don't create something that can be usefull to human race?? I think they 'mis-use' their brains. God...I hope this female's nightmare will end soon...
